A little Information about your Portraits
When I photograph your portrait, I want your session to be all about you. I like to capture real and natural emotion, after all that is what our families are about, the love we feel for those who are closest to us, whether that be our children, our parents and grandparents, our partners or even our pets.
My work is individual, and each session is different, relaxed and fun so that I can capture beautiful images of your family in your own way. Your portrait sitting takes an hour so you and your family can relax, enjoy yourselves and not feel rushed, it ensures natural images, lots of different expressions on the kids’ faces which show off their individual character.
The best photos are usually not posed and don’t have perfect smiles. Children photograph best when they are free to explore and enjoy something new.
My outdoor studio at Mulgoa (15-20 minutes from Penrith) is a beautiful setting on a few acres with great backdrops for relaxed, candid, fresh images of couples, families or large group portraits.
Kids love looking around all my props and the ducks on the dam are usually a big hit to distract them if they are feeling a little shy.

Portrait Sessions
I suggest not too many patterns/logos in your clothing as this can be distracting. Neutral colours work well and some bright colours also for the kids to change into halfway through the photo shoot is a good idea.

Pregnancy and Newborn Sessions
Pregnancy and newborn photo-shoots are done in my indoor studio with props backdrops so it’s not distracting to your gorgeous new bundle.
Newborn photo shoots can take up to 2 hours depending on the bub’s routine or if a feed is needed. For babies older than 6mths I prefer a mix of indoor & outdoor portraits.
Newborn photoshoots are great to do these in the 1st month after birth … or if you feel up to it in the 1st two weeks when your bub is hopefully sleepier. Also bring 2-3 clothes changes for the bub.
